Frequently asked questions
How quickly can I get a takeoff?
Timing depends on property size, imagery, the surfaces you need, and whether you measure it yourself or request a takeoff. Bring an address and your bid deadline to a walkthrough so we can discuss current turnaround before you commit.
Where does the imagery come from?
The real sample retains its map and imagery-provider attribution. Imagery source, capture date, resolution, and coverage can vary by location. Ask us to review those details for your property, especially if construction or seasonal conditions have changed the site.
How accurate are the measurements?
Accuracy depends on imagery resolution and age, visible surface edges, and how each shape is traced. This sample does not include an independently verified accuracy tolerance. Review layers for gaps and overlaps, compare them with known dimensions, and verify on site when trees, shadows, elevation, or recent changes could affect the bid. Aerial takeoffs are not a boundary survey.
How is Geolytes different from Attentive.ai or SiteRecon?
Attentive.ai focuses on construction takeoffs from plans and BIM. SiteRecon spans landscape takeoffs plus broader ops tools. Geolytes centers on aerial property takeoffs for landscaping, snow, and paving, with an ungated sample you can inspect before signing up. See the side-by-side comparison, then judge Geolytes against the real sample.
Why not just use Google Maps?
Google Maps offers aerial views and basic measurement tools. Geolytes organizes areas, lengths, and counts into work-specific takeoff layers, with property projects, shared views, and exports for your estimating process.
Can I try it before creating an account?
Yes. Open the sample takeoff to inspect the imagery, review nine saved measurement layers, and download the quantities as a CSV. Measuring your own property requires an account.
What can I measure with Geolytes?
Geolytes supports property boundaries, areas, lengths, and counts using aerial imagery and organized measurement layers. The available takeoff features depend on the type of work you select.
Can I order a takeoff or measure a property myself?
The application includes takeoff requests and self-measurement workflows. A demo can help you choose the right approach for your team and the level of detail your projects need.
Can I manage multiple properties?
Yes. Bulk takeoffs support CSV address uploads and grouped property projects. You can follow individual properties while keeping the wider project organized.
Can I use it for commercial properties and snow bids?
Yes. The sample shows a commercial property with parking, pavement, road, and sidewalk layers. Choose the surfaces covered by your contract, then use those quantities with your plowing, clearing, or treatment rates. Check access, obstacles, snow-storage areas, and site conditions before finalizing the bid.
Can I export measurements to my estimating tools?
Completed takeoffs offer export options. You can download the sample quantities as a CSV without signing up and check how they fit your spreadsheet or estimating process. Ask about the formats available for your workflow during a walkthrough.
How can I share the work with my team?
Invite members to your organization, manage roles, and share takeoff views. Export options are also available from completed takeoffs.
How does pricing work?
Geolytes is credit-based, not a monthly subscription. Starter is $299 for $249 in credits. Pro is $999 for $899 in credits. Business is $4,999 for $4,750 in credits. Volume packs are custom. The large price is what you pay; the credit amount is the balance you receive. What a measurement costs in credits is confirmed in the app before you buy.
Is the estimating workspace available?
The estimating workspace shown here is a local preview with sample data. It demonstrates service quantities, visit schedules, costing, margins, and draft proposals. Ask about current availability during your demo.
